"We launched our business from a start up, about ten years ago. Like a lot of start ups, you get some things right from the beginning, and some things wrong. We were very much finding our way in the first couple of years.

Darren Hull came on board not just as our accountant but as a business mentor. His commitment to our business has been ongoing. He regularly meets with me to review financial performance and business planning and development issues. I get him involved with any business issues from employment through to marketing. He has introduced disciplines such as annual budgeting and cash flow forecasts and also assisted me with financing requirements with the bank.

Darren also introduced KPI (Key Performance Indicators) such as measuring 12 month rolling subscription numbers by contract period and type as well as the annual dollar value of subscriptions by the same categories. This helps us monitor our sales trends throughout the year and measure how much better we are getting, not just at sales but also at customer retention.
