"It's easy for an accountancy firm to not take a charitable trust's business too seriously. But since the Charities Act was introduced there has been a dramatic increase in the demands we have on good financial governance and reporting. At Venter & Hull, nothing appears to be a bother to them. We are treated as a valuable client, not a nuisance.
We focus on social support for people with psychiatric disabilities, preferably home-based. Established in 1992, our governance board is completely local, including people with experience of mental health. It means we offer a thoroughly professional service, and it also means our directors are very aware of the needs of the people we serve, and our need to continue to grow and flourish.
Venter & Hull assist us with annual financial statement preparation, payroll processing and support services. Like us, they're a human-scaled organisation with everyone in the firm aware of who we are and a good depth of backup (e.g. if 'usual' staff are away it is easy to get service and answers from the other
staff). The firm's principals are easy to access when you need them.
We are treated with honesty, dignity and respect (with a dash of good humour thrown in).
